Democut (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the democut.dev website and related services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service. Please read this policy carefully. 2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in via Google OAuth, your name and profile picture as provided by Google. We do not store your Google password.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the service, including video renders you initiate, template selections, input data you provide (app names, feature descriptions, screenshots), render history, and timestamps.

Technical Data

We automatically collect IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referral URLs, and pages visited. This information is used for security, debugging, and improving the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

→To send transactional emails (render complete notifications, billing receipts)
→To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your product data (screenshots, app descriptions) to train AI models.

4. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

→Authentication cookies: Set by Supabase to maintain your session. Essential for using the service.
→Preference cookies: Store UI preferences such as your last-used template.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but some parts of the service may not function correctly without them.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Democut:

→Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Data is stored in the US.
→Vercel — web hosting and serverless functions.
→Cloud rendering infrastructure — video rendering pipeline. Your input data is processed to generate the video and is not retained by the rendering service beyond the render job.
→Stripe — payment processing. We do not store your full card details; Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Rendered videos are stored for 30 days after creation, after which they are automatically deleted from our storage. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@democut.dev.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

→Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
→Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate data.
→Deletion: Request that we delete your account and personal data.
→Portability: Request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
→Objection: Object to certain processing of your data.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
